September is the one month of the year when Broward County gets cheaper. Broward Attractions and Museums Month, better known as BAMM, runs through September 30, 2026, and there are 17 days left to use it.

This year 23 organizations are taking part: 15 offering buy one, get one free admission and 8 offering free admission. It is the biggest lineup the program has had, roughly double the number from five years ago, and it falls in the Broward Cultural Division's 50th anniversary year.

The rule is simple. Buy one regularly priced admission, get a second admission of equal or lesser value free. Say "BAMM" when you pay. Some venues let you use BAMM as a promo code online, four require a reservation, and one will not honor it online at all.

Below is the complete list with addresses, phone numbers, websites, verified hours and ticket prices where the venue publishes them, so you can see what the deal is actually worth before you drive.

Before you go: the fine print that matters

• BOGO applies to regularly priced admission only. It cannot be combined with any other offer, discount, coupon or membership benefit.
• It does not apply to special events, and at most venues it does not cover workshops, classes, guided or specialty tours, or separately ticketed experiences.
• Individual organizations may add their own restrictions or blackout dates.
• Hours and capacity change. Several of these museums are open only three or four days a week, and two are closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Call or check the website the morning you go.

The 15 BOGO attractions

Bonnet House Museum and Gardens

A 35-acre estate tucked behind the beachfront, with the former home of artists Frederic and Evelyn Bartlett, its hand-painted interiors and subtropical gardens.

BAMM offer: Buy one admission, get a second of equal or lesser value free.

The catch: Self-guided tours only. Guided tours, specialty tours, classes and ticketed events are excluded.

Butterfly World

Tropical butterfly aviaries, a passionflower vine maze, tropical bird aviaries and a lorikeet encounter, inside Tradewinds Park South. Still the best photo day in north Broward.

BAMM offer: Buy one regular-price admission at the entrance, get a second of equal or lesser value free. Mention BAMM when you buy.

The catch: No separate reservation requirement is published for 2026. Admission closes at 4 p.m. daily, before the park does, so do not cut it close. On weekends and holidays Tradewinds Park itself has a gate attendant and a park entrance fee, which is separate from your Butterfly World ticket.

Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $32.50 for adults and seniors, $22.50 for ages 3 to 11, free for age 2 and under. This is the largest single saving on the BAMM list.

Cinema Paradiso Hollywood

A 72-seat art house theater in downtown Hollywood screening independent, international and classic films.

The thing most guides get wrong: Cinema Paradiso is not a separate organization from the Hollywood Art and Culture Center. The Center took over ownership and operation of the theater in June 2025 from the Broward County Film Society, which still runs Savor Cinema in Fort Lauderdale. What is separate is the offer: the theater gets a BOGO on movie tickets, while the Center's galleries at 1650 Harrison Street get free admission. Two addresses, two deals, one organization.

BAMM offer: Buy one qualifying movie admission, get a second of equal or lesser value free.

The catch: No venue-specific restriction is published. Showtimes and ticket prices vary, and special screenings are excluded under the programwide rules, so confirm your film qualifies before you buy.

Flamingo Gardens

Sixty acres of botanical garden plus a sanctuary for native Florida wildlife: flamingos, birds of prey, alligators, panthers, bears and the Wray Home Museum.

BAMM offer: Buy one regular-price admission, get a second of equal or lesser value free.

The catch, and this one matters: Flamingo Gardens will not honor BAMM online. In-person purchases at the ticket booth only. Just say BAMM when you get there. No other discounts or offers apply.

Historic Stranahan House Museum

Built in 1901, the oldest surviving structure in Fort Lauderdale. It served as a trading post, post office, town hall and family home before becoming a museum to city pioneers Frank and Ivy Stranahan.

BAMM offer: Buy one regular-price tour admission, get a second of equal or lesser value free.

The catch: Online reservation required. Admission is tour-based, tours run roughly 45 to 60 minutes, group sizes are capped, and availability shifts week to week because of field trips and private rentals. The last tour of the day is accepted at 3:15 p.m.

Worth knowing: Separate from BAMM, Fort Lauderdale residents get free admission every Wednesday through September 30, 2026 using the code FORTLOCAL at checkout, with a valid ID showing a Fort Lauderdale address. If you are a city resident, that may beat the BOGO.

Parking is limited; use the lot east of the Boathouse at the Riverside, 620 SE 4th Street, and walk about 150 yards.

History Fort Lauderdale

Three museums and a research library on the banks of the New River, anchored by the 1905 New River Inn, Broward County's oldest remaining hotel building and the first property in the county listed on the National Register. Exhibits cover Indigenous history, early settlement, local industry and the city's growth, plus six artist-in-residence studios on the third floor.

The catch: None published on the official 2026 list. Confirm separately for guided tours and group visits.

Island SPACE Caribbean Museum

The only pan-Caribbean heritage museum of its kind, with a historical archive, a fine art gallery and exhibits covering the history, music, sport and culinary traditions of the region and its diaspora. Artifacts include shoes worn by Usain Bolt and signed West Indies cricket bats.

BAMM offer: Buy one regular-price admission, get a second of equal or lesser value free.

The catch: No extra restriction published, but the schedule is the restriction. It is closed three days a week.

MAD Arts

Immersive digital art and interactive installations in a 50,000 square foot building, plus MAD Yard, a free outdoor space with large-scale sculpture.

The catch: The official list does not name a specific ticket tier. MAD Arts also sells tickets to special experiences, cinema programming and events, and BAMM does not cover separately ticketed programming, so confirm which general-admission session qualifies before booking. Its published hours have changed more than once in the past year, and it is closed Tuesdays, so check the site the day you go.

Museum of Discovery and Science

Hands-on exhibits, live science demonstrations, animal encounters and the AutoNation IMAX theater. The Charley Harper exhibit "I AM WILD" opened this month, along with Messy Science Weekends.

BAMM offer: Mention BAMM at the box office to receive a free adult or child ticket with the purchase of a regular adult ticket.

The catch: An adult purchase is required. No other offer, discount or coupon may be applied. Worth flagging: several roundups still repeat a "not valid Tuesdays" restriction from a previous year. MODS does not publish that restriction for 2026 and is open Tuesdays. If you are planning a Tuesday, it costs nothing to call ahead. Also confirm whether the ticket you select includes any premium film or special exhibition.

NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale

Modern and contemporary art, with deep holdings in Latin American and Caribbean work, the CoBrA artists and William Glackens. Currently showing Frantz Zephirin and "Close to Home" through October 4, plus the Christo and Jeanne-Claude "Surrounded Islands" documentation exhibition.

BAMM offer: Buy one regularly priced admission, get a second of equal or lesser value free. Mention BAMM at the admissions desk.

The catch: Everyone 17 and under already gets in free, so this is an adult-ticket play. No backpacks, oversized bags or tote bags in the galleries.

Details: 1 E Las Olas Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301. 954-525-5500. nsuartmuseum.org. Tuesday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday noon to 5 p.m. Closed Mondays. Admission is $16 adults, $10 seniors, $8 military, $5 college students with ID, free for ages 17 and under, US veterans and their household dependents. Free admission and extended hours the first Thursday of every month.

Old Davie School Historical Museum

Broward County's oldest existing school building, opened in 1918 to 90 students on the site it still occupies, designed by architect August Geiger and on the National Register since 1988. The campus includes a 1909 pioneer home and a historic village. The official BAMM list calls it Old Davie School Museum and Event Venue.

The catch: Online reservation required. Guided tours are by appointment, so do not assume you can walk in.

Details: 6650 Griffin Road, Davie, FL 33314, on the south side of Griffin Road, west of Davie Road. 954-797-1044. ODSHM@olddavieschool.org. olddavieschool.org. Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Self-guided admission is $10 adults, $7 for children 5 to 12 and seniors 65 and over.

Sawgrass Recreation Park

Everglades airboat rides and a reptile and wildlife exhibit, focused on South Florida wetlands.

BAMM offer: Buy one qualifying regular admission, get a second of equal or lesser value free.

The catch: Online reservation required, and the park says reservations are required for all tour options regardless, because tours sell out. The official list does not say every package qualifies. Private charters, sunrise tours, the Red Eye night tour, Gator Nights and reptile-exhibit private tours are priced separately, so make sure you are booking the eligible general-admission airboat experience.

Details: 1006 N US Highway 27, Weston, FL 33327, two miles north of I-75 Exit 23 on the east side of the road. 954-389-0202. evergladestours.com. Boats leave every 20 to 30 minutes from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a final boat at 5 p.m. Arrive by 4 p.m., because the animal exhibits close at 5. One practical note straight from the park: GPS often sends people to the wrong spot, so search "Sawgrass Recreation Park" by name instead of typing the address.

Sample-McDougald House

A restored 1916 Colonial Revival home built by Pompano Beach pioneer Albert Neal Sample, moved to Centennial Park in 2001 and listed on the National Register. Guided tours cover the architecture and two early Broward families.

BAMM offer: Buy one regular home-tour admission, get a second of equal or lesser value free. Ask for the BAMM BOGO when you arrive.

The catch: Regular admission is only $5 per person, so this is a small saving on an already cheap ticket. Children under 5 are free anyway. Special events carry additional fees.

Wiener Museum of Decorative Arts (WMODA)

Ceramics, glass and decorative art, including British pottery, studio glass, Ardmore ceramics and a significant Chihuly collection.

BAMM offer: Buy one admission, get a second free, September 1 through 30. Mention BAMM at reception.

The catch: Closed Monday and Tuesday. Special events follow separate ticket rules.

Wednesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Navigation note from the museum itself: GPS apps often route visitors to the back of the building. The main entrance is on the west side of North 29th Avenue between Sheridan Street and Stirling Road.

Young At Art Museum

An interactive children's art museum where the exhibits are meant to be touched, built on and added to, with art-making stations throughout.

BAMM offer: Buy one regular-price admission, get a second of equal or lesser value free. The museum is advertising BOGO admission all month.

The catch: Closed Monday and Tuesday. One widely shared regional roundup lists the offer as Wednesday through Friday only, which conflicts with the museum's own all-September wording, so confirm at the counter if you are going on a weekend. Workshops, camps and special programs require separate registration.

The 8 free-admission museums and galleries

Free general admission does not automatically include paid classes, guided tours, workshops or special events.

Coral Springs Museum of Art

Contemporary exhibitions inside the Coral Springs Center for the Arts, rotating four times a year, plus an Imagination Station play area for kids and a sculpture setting around the lake.

Details: 2855 Coral Springs Drive, Coral Springs, FL 33065. 954-340-5000. coralspringsmuseum.org. Free admission year-round. All children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Gallery hours are Monday by appointment only, Tuesday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed Sunday. Classes and some programs carry fees.

Fort Lauderdale Fire and Safety Museum

A 1927 firehouse holding equipment, uniforms, photographs and the story of the city's fire-rescue history, run entirely by volunteers on donations.

Details: 1022 W Las Olas Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312. flfiremuseum@gmail.com. fortlauderdalefiremuseum.com. This is the hardest one on the list to actually catch. The official BAMM listing and the museum's Facebook page say the second and last Saturdays of the month, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The museum's own contact page lists only the last Saturday. In September 2026 the second Saturday was the 12th, which has passed, so September 26 is the remaining date either way. Email or message ahead to be sure someone is there.

The Frank C. Ortis Art Gallery

A two-story contemporary gallery inside the Charles F. Dodge City Center, with exhibitions, performances and community programming.

Heads up: The Frank's own website currently lists two different schedules on two different pages, one showing Tuesday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and another showing Wednesday through Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Two published phone numbers are also in circulation, 954-392-9420 and 954-392-2120. Call before you drive. Seasonal exhibitions and special programs can carry a fee.

Hollywood Art and Culture Center

Contemporary visual art exhibitions and cultural programming in the historic 1924 Kagey Home in downtown Hollywood, plus an adjacent arts school and a 500-seat theater at 1770 Monroe Street.

Details: 1650 Harrison Street, Hollywood, FL 33020. 954-921-3274. artandculturecenter.org. Gallery admission is normally $7 adults, $4 students, seniors and children 4 to 17, free for members and children 3 and under, so BAMM saves a family of four around $22. Closed Mondays. Published hours vary by source, so call to confirm the day you plan to visit. The Center also runs a free admission day the third Sunday of every month. This is the gallery offer; the Cinema Paradiso movie BOGO is a separate deal at a separate address.

Plantation Historical Museum

Local history through photographs and artifacts, behind the Helen B. Hoffman Plantation Library in the Botanical Gardens Park. Permanent displays include Seminole and Tequesta artifacts, an Everglades diorama and the city's first fire engine.

The City of Plantation lists hours as Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Some third-party tourism listings still show an older Tuesday-and-Thursday schedule; the city's page is the one to trust. Call to arrange group, school or camp tours.

Pompano Beach Historical Society

Photographs, documents and artifacts from the city's past, including the two Kester Cottage Museums, 1930s beach cottages built by William L. Kester, donated in 1974 and restored in Founders Park. One is furnished as a period residence, the other holds working-life artifacts from Pompano's farms, print shops and lumber yards.

Stonewall National Museum, Archives and Library

LGBTQ history and culture through exhibitions, archives and the largest LGBTQ lending library in the country, more than 25,000 books and 1,000 films, housed in a former Broward County library branch.

Scheduled guided tours are $10 per person and include exhibits and archives, so the BAMM free-admission offer does not cover a paid tour. Hours are generally Monday, Wednesday and Friday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tours run Thursdays at 6:30 p.m., Saturdays at 2 p.m. and Sundays at 1 p.m. Free parking on site.

Studio 18 Art Complex

A working arts complex where resident artists keep studio space and exhibit, with eight curated shows a year and a real look at a local creative community.

Details: 1101 Poinciana Drive, Pembroke Pines, FL 33025. 954-961-6067. ppines.com. Free admission. Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., closed Sunday. Workshops, classes and private programs may require registration or payment.

One more thing worth knowing

If you have seen a longer BAMM list going around, you are not imagining it. At least one popular regional deals site is listing Jungle Queen Riverboats, the International Swimming Hall of Fame, Xtreme Action Park, the World AIDS Museum, the Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum and the Ely House as 2026 participants. None of those appear on the official 2026 lineup published by Visit Lauderdale or by the participating museums themselves. Some took part in prior years. If you are counting on one of them, call that venue directly first.

How to use the offer

• 1. Check the venue's website for current hours and ticket availability.
• 2. Look for a BAMM reservation option or promo code if you are buying online.
• 3. If the venue requires a reservation, book before you leave home.
• 4. Say "BAMM" at the ticket booth or admissions desk.
• 5. Expect the free admission to be the ticket of equal or lesser value.
• 6. Do not try to stack BAMM with another coupon, membership benefit or discounted ticket.
• 7. Ask first if you are attending a special event or picking an upgraded experience.

BAMM is a countywide promotion, but every organization runs its own schedule, capacity and ticketing. Hours change, tours sell out, and restrictions get added after guides like this one publish. Confirm with the venue before you make the drive, especially where a reservation is required.
