A 180-acre urban barrier island oasis tucked between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway. Known as Fort Lauderdale's 'Central Park,' it features a lush maritime hammock forest, a long freshwater lagoon for kayaking and canoeing, scenic paved trails for cycling and inline skating, direct beach access via a pedestrian tunnel, and the historic Terramar Visitor Center.
