Thanksgiving Break Camps 2026: Day Camps and School's Out Options in Broward and Palm Beach County

Published November 1, 2026

The Friendly Scoop · 8 min read

Schools are closed all five days the week of Thanksgiving. Here are the camps and city programs across both counties with confirmed 2026 dates, plus the available hours, ages, prices and registration details, and the ones we are still waiting on.

The Quick Scoop

Lowest prices among the programs in this guide: West Palm Beach T.G.N.S. Days cost $20 a month for residents - a monthly fee, not comparable to a day rate. Among programs sold as a multi-day block, the lowest is Boynton Beach's Thanks for Hoops basketball camp at $75 for residents for all three days ($25 a day). Among programs that let you book single days, the lowest verified day rate is Coconut Creek Fun Days at $30 a day for residents ($40 for non-residents). Next lowest: Coral Springs Fun Days Off at $120 for three days (about $40 a day, same price for non-residents), Jupiter School's Out Camp at $50 a day (Jupiter residents only) and North Palm Beach Fall Break Camp at $50 a day (residents).

Longest hours: Palm Beach Gardens and both YMCA of South Palm Beach County locations (7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.).

Friday, Nov. 27: Four listed programs with confirmed 2026 dates include Friday: Camp Live Oak in Fort Lauderdale, Cox Science Center in West Palm Beach, AGS Youth Soccer in Oakland Park and The Motherhood Village in Coral Springs.

Registration is open now for most programs, and some days are already filling: Coconut Creek caps each day at 30 kids per location, and two of its Thanksgiving dates at the Recreation Complex were already full when we checked Nov. 1. The Town of Palm Beach opens to non-residents Monday, Nov. 2, and Coral Springs opens to non-residents Nov. 16.

Something different: surfing in Deerfield Beach or Boca Raton (Island Water Sports), a day with shelter animals (Humane Society of Broward County), Greek mythology science (Cox Science Center), basketball camp with the City of Boynton Beach, and outdoor adventure with canoeing and archery (Camp Live Oak).

Still Waiting on 2026 Details

These programs offered Thanksgiving break care in past years or are advertising something this year, but we could not confirm complete 2026 details from an official source. We will update this guide when they post.

  • City of Plantation Fall Break Camp. The city confirms a Thanksgiving-week camp (kindergarten to 5th grade, Plantation Central Park, 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m., $120 residents / $170 non-residents, no camp Thanksgiving Day) but its page does not say which weekdays it runs. Call (954) 452-2510.
  • Petite Designers Fall Camp (Weston, plus a second studio in East Boca Raton). Sewing and fashion camp, ages 7-13, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., $89 for one day / $159 for two / $219 for three, materials included - but the Weston page lists the dates two different ways (Nov. 23-25 in one spot, Nov. 23-27 in another). Confirm the days before booking.
  • Broward County Parks out-of-school-time programs (neighborhood parks). The county page still lists last school year's break dates.
  • Greater Boca Raton Beach and Park District Turkey Tennis Camp. The district's page describes a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday camp with no camp on Thanksgiving Day, but it lists no 2026 dates or year, so check before you plan around it.
  • Dania Beach Parks and Recreation Thanksgiving Break Camp. A third-party listing (CampMatch) shows a Nov. 23-25 camp, but we could not confirm it on the city's own site, so we are not listing details. Call the city before planning around it.
  • Shark Park 561 Thanksgiving Camp (West Palm Beach). The camp page still shows 2023 dates. Call 561-323-3937 to ask.
  • Harris Art Studio (Hollywood). A local moms' site advertises a Nov. 23-25 holiday art camp at $65 a day, but the studio's own website does not confirm it. Call 781-308-1379.
  • Inter Broward CF (Coconut Creek). The soccer club's camp page still says dates to be determined. Call 954-504-1315.
  • SR1 Volleyball Thanksgiving Camp (Village of Wellington). The club sells a $125 Thanksgiving camp through the village's rec catalog, but dates and times are not posted. Registration is in person at the rec center for first-timers.
  • AC Delray Rush Thanksgiving Soccer Camp (Delray Beach). The club's site has a 2026 Thanksgiving camp registration page but no posted dates, times or prices.
  • Fitwize 4 Kids (Coral Springs). Third-party event listings show a Thanksgiving camp starting Nov. 23, but we could not confirm it on the company's own site.
  • Kingswood Academy (Royal Palm Beach, Palm Springs, Lake Worth, Greenacres). Advertises break camps for ages 5-12 whenever school is out, but posts no Thanksgiving-week details; call your closest campus.

We also checked these and found no 2026 Thanksgiving-week camp listing on their own sites: City of Tamarac (camps page shows summer camp only), City of Fort Lauderdale (camps page covers winter, spring and summer breaks), the Museum of Discovery and Science in Fort Lauderdale (one-day fall camps, nothing Thanksgiving week) and Palm Beach Zoo (summer camp only). Separately, the City of Pembroke Pines explicitly says its Mini Camp is not available during Thanksgiving break.

Know Before You Go

  • Check your city's residency rules. Most of the lowest prices are for residents, some programs check ID on day one, and Jupiter's camp is now Jupiter residents only.
  • Most programs are Monday to Wednesday only. Of the programs with confirmed 2026 dates, four include Friday, Nov. 27: Camp Live Oak, Cox Science Center, AGS Youth Soccer and The Motherhood Village.
  • Wednesday is a short day at some programs. Palm Beach Gardens closes at 5 p.m. on Nov. 25.
  • Some cities cap hard and close early. Coconut Creek allows 30 kids per day per location with no day-of registration, North Palm Beach says space is limited, and Jupiter closes each day three business days before.
  • Set up your registration account now. Coconut Creek requires a WebTrac account (with ID and residency documents).
  • Pack lunch, snacks, a labeled water bottle and sneakers. Palm Beach Gardens asks for no Crocs. AGS Youth Soccer is the exception on food: lunch and snacks are included.
  • Ask about refunds before you pay. Camp Palm Beach requires written cancellation at least one week ahead (minus a $25 fee), Jupiter charges a $5 fee for late cancellations, the Humane Society refunds (minus $25) only if you cancel at least 10 business days before camp, and Parkland gives no refunds or credits at all.
